The inaugural draft of VOBIS Sires yearlings moves to the magnificent surrounding’s of Inglis’ new Riverside Stables for the upcoming Classic Yearling Sale.
36 youngsters eligible for Victoria’s exciting new $1 million Showdown will go under the hammer. They are by the likes of boom stallions Written Tycoon and Zoustar alongside champions Reward For Effort and Magnus.
In total 13 VOBIS nominated sires are represented at the sale. VOBIS Sires yearlings not only get a ticket into the inaugural $1 million Showdown, they also get to race for $23.5 million on offer through the entire VOBIS program of races in Victoria.
First crop sires Brazen Beau and Toronado make their ‘Classic debuts’ with 3 and 9 yearlings in the catalogue respectively.
Up and comers Fighting Sun and Unencumbered have yearlings while those with runs on the board include Helmet, Reset, Street Boss and Turffontein.
Meanwhile Starspangledbanner, who stood at Rosemont Stud in 2015, has three VOBIS Sires eligible yearlings on offer. His departure to Coolmore in 2016 means they are the final crop of his eligible for VOBIS Sires so they are sure to be hot commodities!
