Sangster sweet on Toronado progeny

The imposing Toronado at Swettenham Stud

Positivity tends to ooze from Swettenham Stud boss Adam Sangster’s pores, but there’s an extra spring in his step when he starts speaking about Toronado.

The prized stallion that Swettenham stands in conjunction with Al Shaqab Racing has his first yearlings at sales this season, with a handful at Magic Millions Gold Coast, and plenty more across the Inglis Classic and Inglis Melbourne Premier sales.

“It’s a good start but the best is yet to come – the feedback we’re getting from breeders has been really encouraging,” Sangster said.

“He’s such an athletic, imposing sort of horse and his record on the track was brilliant. We’re all really looking forward to his first crop going to some top stables.”

A son of the ever-popular High Chaparral, Toronado is certainly a first season stallion to note this sales season.

All of his progeny are VOBIS Sires eligible.

That means owners of all of Toronado’s progeny can enter the $1 million Showdown 2YO race, the $500,000 VOBIS Sires 3YO race and race for almost $24 million on offer annually through VOBIS prizemoney and bonuses.

You can find detailed information about the $1 million Showdown and all VOBIS Sires yearlings at the sales by visiting the VOBIS Sires webpage.
